I really like this photo. I think it definetely has unity the way they are all connected to eachother. how is the background so blurry and the little ball things still in focus?? i can only do it sometimes with my camera.
This is a really cool effect but only possible/easy with SLR cameras. This blurred background and sharp subject occurs due to a shallow depth of field (or focus) which is caused by two main aspects: a low f/stop (wide aperture) and a telephoto lens. This can be a very complicated technique but one that provides some really great results. We might go in depth with this technique a little down the track.
